Shakya Design offers focus jewelry using components from Thailand, Tibet, China, Nepal, Japan and India, set on Chinese cord, Nepalese silver or gold fill chains. Each icon or image is a reminder of one's spiritual intention. The jewelry is kept simple so that the image can be the focus and can be worn in all daily life activities.

As with our malas, we make all of our jewelry ourselves. First, we actively search for components from Nepal, Thailand, India, China and Japan. Kate then meditatively designs the piece putting together pendants, symbols, beads, findings, string or chain. For our jewelry, each unique knot is hand-done by Thea, from our knowledge of decorative knots gathered over the years from around the world. We then look at the piece together for appropriateness and beauty. Finally, David photographs them before Thea puts them on the website.
