Shakya Design makes hand malas in Rosewood, Sandalwood, Bodhi seed, and semi-precious stones. Traditionally used in practice, they are either held in one hand or over the hands in prayer pose. Many people like to use these malas because of the larger size beads, which give them a more substantial feel. Many also find them helpful to hold on to during the night. Hand malas are 27 beads unless otherwise stated.
